A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

No, those are the crappy times from Motortrend. Every other reviewer said 5.0 flat. I'm hoping the new powertrains can match the SS' estimated 4.5. Competition is good for everyone.

The R/T is a little bit slower in the 0-60, but it's faster in the quarter (though probably not enough to notice a difference between either cars). However, the R/T is much sexier than the GT in my opinion, with better seats and IRS to boot.

Very mild refresh, especially after that many years, and considering it will now have a full list of competitors.

Detroit used to do that much every year or two, when the pony cars were selling in mass quantities.

The SS will slaughter the competition both the GT , RT and even the mighty SRT8 , 0 to 60 is estimated at 4.5 to 4.7 seconds , 1/4 mile times in the high 12s WOW and that's a stock SS can't wait for some test drive numbers to confirm this

ps. the Z28 would make them look silly , one can only dream

The bullitt was 5 flat as well if I recall. Where's your info coming from? Some publications like MotorTrend and sites like Edmunds consistently post lower times than others.
