Fatal Wreck 2010 Camaro - ***SAD***

Updated: Feb 19, 2010 7:01 PM KINGSVILLE - A one-car accident in Kingsville has left one man dead and another in serious condition. Police say 22-year-old Mario Montelongo was driving this red Camaro around 2:30 this morning when he slammed into a tree on West King Street. The impact caused the car to completely wrap around the tree. His passenger, 21-year-old Fernando Soto, died at the scene. Police say Montelongo was speeding when he lost control on the wet road, his Camaro went out of control, and crashed into the tree. Montelongo is in serious condition at Spohn Memorial Hospital in Corpus Christi. Police say that alcohol played a part in the accident. This is the second fatal accident in Kingsville since the first of the year that is alcohol related. According to the Kingsville Chief of Police Ricardo Torres, "This happens to be another death of one of our young citizens here in our community it seems to be a problem as it is throughout our state where we have young people drinking and driving." This is sad, but I've got no use for people who drink and drive! I'm just glad they didn't take out an innocent person!!!

DANG!!!
That dark spot on the door is the tree's imprint. I can't imagine the speeds he was going...sideways! I'm surprised the driver survived at all and sometimes wonder if it wouldn't have been better to have died...imagine living with the thought that you're stupid actions killed another person. Very sad...
