Seat Bracket Modification for Race Seats

After a tireless effort to arrive at a conclusion for mounting RaceTech
seats in my Z28 I came across this artical.

pretty cool, i'd love to see if someone makes something similiar for the factory Recaros. i'd love 3" of headroom due to my soonroof :(

I've been looking into getting custom seats too but hard to find a good bracket, any leads?

I like the idea of not modifying the OEM mount points so the original seats can, if desired, can go back no problem. I've had problems with OEM mounting points in other cars before, which can become a headache.

Brey-Krause is willing to develop a seat mount for the 5th gen, they just need a test car (they’re in PA)

I emailed Vorshlag about doing seat bracket/sliders like they did in the link and make them available - they already made them for a few other cars.

Could offer 2 options - One to lower the OEM seat height for those who wish to keep OEM seat, but want it lower (that would be me) and two a modified seat bracket with sliders, that drops track seat height 2" (like the car in the link) and is flexible so it can accept Cobra, Recaro or Racetech seat.

I will report back what I hear from them.

cool lookin' forward to an update. by chance can you ask them if the OEM seat rail will also accommodate the powered Reacros too? I'd consider a new driver's side bracket if this gives me more headroom
