Step 1 put transmission in 1st gear

Step 2 depress clutch

Step 3 apply generous amount of throttle

Step 4 release clutch

Step 5 row gears like you were white water rafting

Step 6 repeat daily

That concludes the carbon cleaning tutorial

Do this once or twice and your good !!! Then go to get new tires for the rear after many of these. lol

We really don't have a carbon issue on the LS3/L99. It's the LLT/LFX direct injection V6 guys that need to stay on top of this.

Our valves tend to stay clean by design of port injection. Just install a catch can, run a quality high octane fuel, and change your oil often.

Italian tune up - crank it cold and peg it to the floor. Let it bounce on the rev limiter for a couple of seconds then proceed normally on your way.
