Keep them, I really like the way stripes look on our cars. Mine are 9 years old and starting to flake I gotta replace them soon.

Keep them. OstonesO is right. They add a good touch of contrast to the solid orange

Believe it or not, I had all the paint work done at the local dealership. The body shop manager was a friend of mine and he knew what my expectations were. Several of the pieces didn't pass his inspection and had to be redone, multiple times. Total time to paint the hood and deck lid stripes and all the internal pieces was about 3 months. It was during the winter so I didn't mind. Total cost was about $5,000.

I appreciate all the input. Ill leave em where they are for now. If they start cracking/peeling I'll address it. Thanks!

Here is pictures of my 2010 SS. I got my SS in Sept. of 2009. I had after market silver strips put on 1 week after I got it. They were cheaper($300) than the OEM stripes. They still look as good now as the did when they were installed.

Take them off. I had black stripes on my 2011 iom. I got tired of them and they didn't look good anymore. I took them off and was able to buff out 90% of the fading. They had been on for 9 plus years.

So does “ 90 % of the fading” being gone look ok?

Yep, my wife thinks I'm crazy. She said she don't see any fading at all. Maybe its just etched in my mind from looking at them so long
