Car and Driver 1LE Review

I don't know if this has been posted yet, it looks like it came out today.

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...ed-test-review

Overall, very impressive.

Nice write up. I was already sold on it, but nice to be reassured.

Good review for sure....SO glad I ordered white.

The estimate for the top speed cracks me up, it says in multiple pieces of GM literature it's 180...doesn't anyone look lol?

This quote kind of sheds some light on where the 1LE will measure up to the non R GT 350:

"Once warmed up, the brakes consistently hauled the 3747-pound 1LE to a stop from 70 mph in just 141 feet with no fade, and a lap of our 300-foot skidpad revealed 1.05 g of grip. Those figures meet or beat those posted by the significantly more expensive 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Z51 (149 feet, 1.05 g) and the only mildly more expensive 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 (171 feet, 1.00 g) as measured in a recent comparison test."

I thought the same, and it looks like the center section may be perforated to match the suede on the front seats (do 2SS seats have this?).

...hard to tell, trying to find high res pics.

Yep those are just 2SS back seats, I test drove once with the regular black leather interior, same exact seats.

Just discovered this... right click the photo and open in a new tab. Delete the resolution and the last dash from the url and reload.

For example...
2017-Chevrolet-Camaro-SS-1LE-101-876x535.jpg
becomes...

Does anyone else think it looks lower than a standard SS?

yes. The stance kills it. Love the wheels too. Didn't so much at first.
