I sold my 2010 SS a week ago and miss it already. Dumb of me to sell it before my new ZL1 arrives. This is going to be a long summer. Time to polish up the golf swing I guess.

I sold mine in October and just got the car... It sure is nice to be back in a Camaro again...

So will I just sit at 1102 forever or will it cancel sometime. Dealers said I will automatically roll over to a 2013. But I'm not sure and don't want to move back in line again. Only been waiting since Nov.

I am in the same boat (ordered in November). My dealer told me to sit tight with the same order number. He said he would call me once he found out how the 2012's that were pushed back to 2013's would be handled.

All depends on the dealer. 1102 means the order was entered, but the dealer hasn't applied an allocation to the order yet.
Either the dealer ran out of 2012 allocations and is planning on appying a 2013 allocation, or the dealer just isn't getting an allocation.
If the dealer does get an 2013 allocation it'll be up top the dealer as to which orders he uses his allocation on.

It would seem to me that a reputable dealer would apply 2013 allocations to people that already ordered a 2012 but didn't get their order fullfilled, but again, it's all up to the dealer.

After a long chat with my dealer, this "roll over" concept became clear to me. It kind of depends on which side of the desk you are sitting on. I think that the intention is to roll over the allocations that weren't picked up. That doesn't mean that 2012 orders will automatically roll over to 2013's. It means that if a dealer had 2 allocations and only 1 was picked up, then the unfilled allocation - for the dealer - would roll over and add to his 2013 allocations. It is then up to the dealer to determine who is first in line for 2013. Hopefully, that will be you - and me. 2013 orders will have to be submitted.

This is just my translation of the conversation which was spoken in two different languages - dealer and consumer. Nothing offical, as usual. Maybe we will get something offical in the near future. Isn't like we aren't used to waiting.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know if it matters when you place the 2013 order? Or is it just when your dealers allocation comes up?
