JRE Smooth Idle Blower Cam

Hello Everyone,

i am looking to purchase the JRE smooth idle blower cam within the next couple weeks. I have been looking at this cam for a while, but what i haven't been able to find is good videos on how it sounds. I can find the rough idle cam and some smooth idles (non blower), but i havent been able to find good smooth idle blower cam videos.

I was hoping if people have this cam if they could post some clips to hear.

Thanks,

Search for clips of my car. I have a blower but that doesn't affect the sound. I currently have the cam for sale, $200, if you're interested.

You can also search the LPE gt9 cam. They have the same specs.

What are peoples thoughts on the smooth idle/gt9 cam being hard on the valve tips? A few members have posted and messaged me these cams can be hard on the valve tips with factory rockers because of the high exhaust lift.

I think there is some truth to this. My tuner/builder said the cam wore stuff down because of the lobes. (I think that's what's he said. I forgot the technical term). Not sure if that's the same thing your referring to.

I didn't realize that was for me. Lol. That's nothing but 100% truth. The cam specs are identical. I payed a lot of money to buy a cam, I should be allowed to share what I rightfully payed for. I never signed into a secrecy agreement. When someone is looking to find something out I'm inclined to help. This is just my general statement. It's not directed at either of you guys.

When Don inspected the blown motor he said that the cam lobes were wearing stuff ( maybe valve guides??) out. Again, 100% facts.

BigMatt, thanks for the video i did see that one before.

Have you had any issues at all? How many miles have you put on the cam?

FYI, I had about 7k miles on mine but lots, and I mean lots, of 1/4 mile passes. Cam drives fine, little stop light surging but overall idle and drive ability was very good. The new builder found the damage.

With your driving style and 1/4 mile passes that was probably equivalent to 100k miles.
