Looks like with a full exhaust, including a catted X, they put down 410 RWHP before tuning. I'm seeing lots of mod potential with this new 5.0. More than the 11-14's. Intake/Tune/Full exhaust without cats = maybe 450 RWHP?

I'd say they're going to hit 450 WHP with catted pipes when combined with an intake and tune.

That'll put this new 5.0 well over 500 crank HP with minor bolt ons.

Well now BBR is saying they made 440 rwhp with a CAI,LT,Tune with the stock catback diameter and race mufflers in place.

They're going to switch over to a 3 in catback and re run it.

Depends on if it's auto or manual. Auto with bone stock rear end can go mid 10's with 1.5 60fts and never break. I actually think there have been a few in the 9's with bone stock rear end auto Trans SS's but I'm sure that's pushing it. I wouldn't trust a stock SS rear end behind a manual Trans with full bolt ons power and DR's below 1.8 60fts.

Liking the results we're seeing coming in now that more tuners are getting a hold of the new mustang.

My, you had to spend some time digging around to find that post! Not the first time I have been wrong, unlikely to be the last.

MIHOVETZ just went 5.92 thru the quarter and 3.92 in the 1/8! This was done with a production 4.6 block and heads. The displacement was 281 cubes. Valvetrain is mostly stock and the crank might be. Something had to be done, the imports were closing in fast at a 6.09 with a production block and head. The imports get a major weight break too.

Pretty good results from the tune only but the gains from the CAI are bogus. The stock baseline is done with a closed air box which can only ingest air from one small location and no air being pumped into it on a chassis dyno. Open air CAI's like the JLT can suck in as much air as it likes with the hood up on the chassis dyno. If that CAI really does add that much power then you would see 1mph minimum trap speed increases over the tune only. The results from the AIR RAID will be more legit results with a closed air box.
