Rear Plate Backing

I'm looking at getting a ZL1 tomorrow. The only weird thing is the rear license plate backing is missing completely. There's a gaping hole where it would normally go. Is that a cheap replacement piece or am I going to have to spend like $500 to replace whatever backing is supposed to be there?

I don't remember my last Camaro having a gaping hole where the rear license plate goes.

Also, not the car I'm looking at, but it essentially looks like this: http://www.hellcat.org/attachments/z...tow-jpg.15417/. Ignore the tow hook. I'm more worried about the gaping hole above.
