500hp NA goal.. so close

Im trying to achieve 500RWHP and I'm currently at 491rwhp and 443trq. I want to do this NA and so far I have a CIA, CAM, LT, Ported Heads, Cutouts with cat deletes. Im thinking maybe the fast air intake and an under drive pulley might get me to the 500 mark but I was wondering because I see a lot of people say that the fast intake only provides gains with FI. Any input would be appreciated. The car has been tuned btw.

Fast does provide gains but isn't good for FI due to the numerous posts over the years of the manifold leaking. You may also want to check out this new intake manifold.

Thanks for the reply. When you say new manifold are you referring to the FAST manifold?

Realize, you may be 491 at this Dyno, yet 520 on another and 480 on another, its just a number. The hard part is learning how to put that power to the ground. im at 504 and CANNOT turn anything lower than a 12.5

I'm not doing anything else to the car until i have mastered my current power level, there are guys with same set up running 11.8s and 11.9s

Don't fast intakes just make like 10 HP at the most on a dyno?

You'd probably get that from porting your stock intake

Not speaking from personal experience but I've read around here a lot that the stock intake is really good and that gpi's rod mod is the way to go, gets you about the same gains as the FAST for way cheaper

Yep, thats why I'm not going too crazy with power. Its my DD afterall. I added a few BMR upgrades such as rear cradle bushings, trailing arms and rods and front and rear sway bars. My plan is to achieve my 500 goal and continue with suspension and wheel upgrades. I almost purchased a set of 18" ZL1 replica rims but the only tires the shop could find were drag radials. That doesnt sound bad however I had a long trip from Florida to MA coming up. I ended up getting my wheels poweder coated and got a set of Nittos.

I may look into porting my intake, specially in the winter months since I wont be driving it anyway since I moved to Salem MA. (Just for 3-4 years though then back to FL)

I'll look into this. I'll be honest, I have done zero research into E85 anything. Would this be something doable for a DD?

I'm thinking that's the case on a stock motor. With all his supporting mods, I'd expect more like 20-25.

Ported manifold, rodmod, and UDP and you're there.
