How do you view your 5th Gen?
Just wondering everyones thoughts.
I like mine to feel like a monster, I dont care about it being civil at all. I don't mind the lopey cam, loud exhaust or rattling shifter. I view it as a muscle car and could care less about refinement. It takes me back to earlier muscles cars with those attributes. How do you view yours? Fine Stock? It's a car to be seen in. Cosmetics, rims etc? Cruiser, Weekend driver? Weekend track warrior? Street Terror? Pavement Melter? Just wondering how everyone views their own Camaro. How would you describe your own Camaro? **No flaming others please** |

nobody see's you in this car, all they see is the CAR...lol I see mine that way though, as something to be seen in. Still really rare to see one out here.

I see mine as an object of affection, and something that must be protected- regardless of how big the parking lot may be...

What a HOT ROD was ment to be
With the painted stripes and tint plus a manaflow exhaust it looks and feels like a hot rod should. Has the show quality with the extras I did (orange chromed engine area and embroidered trunck carpet) and the power that chevy did. It has power to spare but can make the hard core Ford and Mopar guys say "nice ride". No regrets what so ever and hope to have a few more show accesaries in about a month or two. Only one regret is I am affraid to do burnouts on really really exspensive tires.

There are muscle cars, and there are muscle cars. It depends on which 5th gen Camaro you have. I consider my loaded 2SS/RS as a gentlemens hot rod- Power with all the comforts.

I see mine as the unexpected terror.... You that car you never hear? The car you heard rev but when you turn your head to look for it's no where to be found.. That car you thought you could be until he hit a mysterious switch in the glove box. The car you thought about racing until you saw the reflection from the puddle of water exposing many muffler and resonators. The car that cane beat you silently or do while yelling like a banshee from hell, Thats my maro The sneaky silent killer(Jackal&Hide's BlackWater for short)... that is before the cut-outs are open :seesaw:

I feel that I am a very fortunate person to own my Camaro SS. When I was younger I never thought I would be able to afford a car that I could just drive when I wanted, one that wasn't my primary means of transportation.
I think of it as a little "throw back" kind of muscle car. I wouldn't say "old school" because it isn't. I personally don't care what anyone else thinks, I bought the car for me. My wife has mentioned "midlife crisis" but I told her that doesn't apply to me because I don't care who see's me in the car and I don't care what anyone thinks. It just makes me feel good to drive the car and know the kind of power I am in control of. Russ |
