Wow....dude was a dumbass (ZR1 driver). If the guys in the video car whipped out the camera to film the car, maybe the ZR1 was showing off. It doesn't appear that they recording guys knew the ZR1 driver (from their reaction to the crash).

I was behind one yesterday and you could tell the driver was still getting used to the power of that beast. He was going very gingerly on the gas and merging into different lanes very delicately.

oh man, that made me cringe...

A ZR1 has all that instant torque in a low weight car... it's gonna be a shock and get away from anyone who doesnt know better...

I am willing to bet those two were racing hence the camera running from the start.

Anyone with over 600hp has to learn respect to the car or it will bite you..

That was the driver. If you go to the youtube video itself, the description says what happened.

The car that got hit was an SRT-8, I think.

Essentially, it sounds like they saw the ZR1 getting on the onramp, and wanted to get a shot of it as it went by. They got into the carpool late, and you see what followed.

Cameraman was silent. Driver is the WTF guy. Passenger in the back seat is screaming like a girl.

Apparently, they are going to post up a follow up video of the aftermath after they edit out plate numbers.
