Why does my car hate me
Okay so my car is acting up again surprise surprise lol, was on a slight incline and tried starting it up when it would not turn over. Luckily I was at autozone and they checked the battery which turned out to be fine. Tried starting it for 6-7 times and then gave it a rest. Went to try it again and it shot right up and started kinda idled weird. So I’m at the light and it’s surging bad and dying but I’m able to start it up and drive it fine which is weird. My girlfriends mom was behind me and said she seen one exhaust pipe on the left side only spit out exhaust but the other did not. Anyone know what’s going on cause I’m confused. Has a cel with codes that I’ll post up

I'm leaning towards a large vacuum leak in the evap lines. Maybe the ones to the intake manifold. Big vacuum leak will cause the surging and poor starting as well as make it run very lean. Don't recommend driving it with these conditions.

Your first post you said the battery was fine. I'd also charge the battery, but it wouldn't lead to those codes.

I meant they said the battery itself was fine but only had a 50% charge and those codes i have gotten before but had my tuner tune them out they just happened to pop back up when all this happened lol I’m starting to think it may be a bad alternator if so is there any aftermarket high output ones?

Yea need more information here. I was assuming you were stock but if its been tuned clearly it isnt. If its the original battery it's time for a change probably. Cars start doing weird shit when they start dying.

I am not a tuning expert by any means but it seems strange that someone would “tune out” an evap system leak code.

Ok. I saw in prior post you mentioned ported TB and rod mod intake. Did you do all your own work or shop installed?
Could be several things or combination. Battery can cause all sorts if weird things. As mentioned, vacuum leaks can cause the surging....also, if the tune is off. I always had to tweek start up/idle air when I had cammed LS engines. Have you talked to your tuner?

Update okay so I drove the car home which is about 40 minutes away and had no issues at all. Battery voltage stayed normal and the alternator seemed to be working fine, not sure why it acted up that night but I know it’s not normal so I’m still gonna check with my tuner.

Check maf sensor. I agree with it possibly being a leak. Also check your grounds, those can throw some weird codes
