Bought all OEM parts including jack, foam container, etc from my dealer and had a hub-centric adapter made.

I put this together two years ago and have no PN's on hand. Just goto your local Chevy dealer and ask for all the V6 spare tire accessories. They can bring up pics on the computer to varify what you are ordering. Although i purchased the wheel from the dealer they did not have the tire so i purchased it directly from Maxis in Canada. I also had the adapter made by Gary's Custom.

Due to the spare tire being 2"+ smaller in diameter than the factory tires i would only run the spare in the front.....so if you get a flat out back you would need to put your front tire on the rear and then mount your spare up front. It may be possible to damage the rear "SS" dif by running that much smaller tire on one side.

The guy joe from ebay's email address was dumars14892@yahoo.com I and some others from the forum bought our spares from him for our SS. It is tucked away nicely in my tire well and I hope I never have to use it. Happy hunting.

Note that the spare tire that the EBay guy sells is slightly larger in diameter (.6") than the one that comes from Chevy with the V6 Camaros. Its about 1.5" smaller than the stock SS rear. If you buy your own tire, you may want to get the larger one. It's a tighter fit in the trunk well, but does fit. It is a T145/80D18.

Good point on the tire sizing...

My question is I have heard that some guys are using the T155-80 tire that is (27.8") in Dia.

This is much closer to the 28.7 Dia. of the OEM tire Dia.

The above tire is a little larger than the T145-80 tire some guys use.

The T155-70 (26.5") Dia. tire it what GM offers and seems a bit to small( over 2" Dia.difference)

So,will the T155-80 tire(the Largest) fit in the trunk with the cover installed?

This is the one I would rather have in case I have a flat at the rear and don't want to hassle swapping to the front.
.9" difference from the OEM size won't matter for the posi rear.

by the way,the part # for the GM donut wheel is #92230888

That's the first set up I had. The tire would fit with the cover on but not fully inflated. I had to let some of the air out, but I carried the little "SS" compressor in case I actually needed to air it up before using.

Thanks Man!

So it will fit with a little air let out.

I would assume the little SS compressor has to be moved out of the Well for the tire to go in rite?....or does it still fit under the tire?

I haven't looked back there in quite a while so I can't remember.

I don't remember if it fit, but I think it did. Either way I kept my jack, adapter, compressor and all my tools in a tool bag in the trunk, so I didn't keep the anything under the tire so it wouldn't rattle around back there.

I keep the jack and lugwrench under the spare. The jack is in the factory location -there is a built in bracket. The wrench (actually a kit with several sockets) is wrapped in a towel - no rattles at all.

The only things I keep in the trunk are the spacer and the OEM inflator.
