The V and the Z/28 are two different creatures. The Camaro is a full on, balls out muscle car and the V is a sport luxury sedan made to compete with the E63, M5, etc... They will be marketed to two different types of customers.

Also what box said....57k for a base?? Get real, people.

i have the coin.( for a Z)....but it was far more fun making my SS into a Z

how...i used the lower compression l99 = 530-540 rwhp

then i analyzed the suspension.
Springs, sways, endlinks, trailing arms, toe link arms, subframe bushings( granted coilovers should have been done)
tunnel brace.

then slotted DBA rotors., HPS hawks and braided lines for initial bite.

the auto driveline is capable of handling this HP level.....with no axle tramp
axles hold up fine..as does the rear end..

cosmetics work.......bamn,, Z28 i spent less than 45k total.

my way and for less.

the Z will be great ..but it 2 years late to the party and Ford will respond in the next build year to out do the Z28.
lets not forget about the 6.4 hemi in a more tactile Challenger.

Its a Kobiashi Maroo senario.( in fact i beleive the 2012 Gt500 or Boss or Gt350 will be faster and better handling than the Z28)

think about it.

Guys trading there well modded SS for a Z28......if your supercharged your a little bit of suspension mods and a minor brake upgrade away .

throw in a steet scene lower chin lip and Slp rear spioler and your cooking.

the z/28 would be useless, unless is built to handle upward 800whp. If the z/28 had just an lsx with stronger trany and supporting moods for 40k that would be the best deal, how cares about the stupid lsa if it has 500hp obviously thats not enough for the mood crowd any more. and most the people don't really track race its all about the drag times and who is faster. all i really want is forged engine capable of handling over 800whp power-train that can handle all my mods thats all, if gm makes has the ls9 complete kit available for the z/28 at a good price with warranty even better, because thats all I would need to do.

You can put all the mods on your SS you want or can afford, the reality is when you're done your SS might out perform a Z/28, but it still will not BE a Z/28. It will always be a modded SS.

We don't know what the z will have. Hell the suspension setup could put yours to shame. And what you said is you went cheap on suspension. So chances are you could have an inferior setup. But again we don't know what a z will hold. You're assuming a lot.

Also you forget about the warranty. That you just blew by modifying. And if you have an l99 why does your profile say lsa? Two totally different engines.
