Great build and stories. I hope you update your journey with this car. If you ever get to Chicago again the drinks are on me.

Same Generation, but 67-68 lacked a ZL1, so 69 it is

I would buy this in a heartbeat. It would have been cool if GM would have reproduced something like this using the modern technology of today.

In my opinion, this is the way to "restore" a classic. Take a beautiful old car and modernize it. Very nice build.

I probably should have waited until we have this installed in our car but I couldn't wait to share.

We had the same company that makes the ZL1 hood scoop for GM make our custom grille in matching pre preg Carbon Fiber. This is the real deal and not imitation or simulated carbon fiber.

The first parts just arrived today and they are absolutely perfect. We can't wait to get it all installed. Of course, we'll post more pictures when it is.

Notice how the angle of the weave is consistent from vertical to vertical bar. That is way easier said than done, especially on complex, deep parts like these.

Dan designed the pieces with close tolerance recesses on the back side to allow the invisible use of double stick tape to hold them all firmly in place.
