NE Virginia - Early June 2017?

Hey guys, my wife has a class she is taking in NE Virginia. It is on a Sat/Sun and we thought about turnining it into a small vacation either before or after but I would have 2 free days on the weekend. Thought about taking the car. Anything going on in this area June 10/11? Thanks!

For car events check out www.capitalcruisin.com. The site is pretty empty now being the end of the year, but around the beginning of spring tons of events will be listed. Skyline drive is another option.

You have many options depending on what you like, there are several race tracks in that area and many Civil War sites and tours. You also have many Breweries, Vineyards, Belmont Farm that makes Moonshine on the TV show, Monticello, Montpelier, Williamsburg, Va Beach, Old Town Alexandria, Mount Vernon, Skyline Drive, if you're a fan of Dukes of Hazard you have Cooters, many options.

Skyline drive is awesome but slow and sometimes REAL slow in summer, FYI.....I think you are lookin for drivin stuff so up in WV is Summit Point(1 hr away), check website for events, Mason Dixon drag in Hagerstown, Md. (near me) if you feel like runnin the 1/4(bring yer helmet!)..lots of other drag strips around....Camp David is like 10 min from me and area has lots of mountain rds(motorcycle riders LOVE the area in the summer)...

head south to Richmond VA for R.I.R....

depends on how much time you have to invest....peace out...

Time is getting closer and started doing some more research. Found a cars and coffee event close by in Winchester.

What city are you staying in and how far are you willing to drive? That would help narrow things down a bit.

Katies Cars and Coffee in Great Falls VA is the place to go but you gotta be there early on Sat AM. The good cars start showing up at 0530 and the place is always packed until at least 1000.

It will be an hour or so drive for you but you won't be disappointed!
