Moving to VA next month

I currently run Speed Engineering headers with offroad midpipes

It hasn't been a big deal passing inspection here in NC, and I'm just wondering if anyone on here from VA is running a similar setup?

Just wondering how strict the inspection process is, it's pretty lax in NC, and I'm moving to a small town outside of Bristol if that helps info wise.

If it's strict I'm gonna have to find some cats that fit my headers lol

It depends where you go.But overall, state inspections are very strict in Virginia.

I'm gonna be in Smyth county and apparently there is no emissions testing, just a safety inspection

Fortunately my catless mid pipes look like cats so they'd have to take them off to know that they're not high flow cats

Still might end up having to put mufflers back on the car

I have catless LTHs as well. Haven't had any issues. So long as you have a tune/no engine light, you should be good. I take it to someone I know, so that helps. I don't know how loud your axleback is, but I have NPPs which are kinda on the quiet side of things in terms of low RPM. Luckily our midpipes look like cats, so it passes visual inspection at least.

Visual is the worst concern here. They don't do a sniffer test except in northern VA on the rim of DC from what I understand. I have not had any issues *knock on wood*

I never had an issue passing without mufflers. I was muffler delete for three years before putting them back on.
