New to the 5th Gen

Greetings all. Just picked up a modded 5th gen 2013 SS. I previously had a 2005 GTO, Stickshift car that my Father and I built. It was a street car that was always driven to the track. We got it to run low 7's at the local 1/8 mile and 11.30's at the 1/4 mile track. Got tired of being warned and threatened to be kicked off track due to the NHRA roll bar requirements. Now having a 2013, the goals for this car will be 6.50 1/8 mile and 10.00 1/4 mile. Also went with an auto this time. Stick cars are more fun but much harder to make fast.

I sold my Goat and was able to buy this car with a little money to put into it. I got a good deal on it due to some of the issues it has. We will be pulling the motor and trans and going through everything for piece of mind and as well as addressing the issues the car already as. Exterior wise the car is in great shape and I even got a drag set included. I will detail my progress of pulling the motor and getting this thing to run in the tens over in the car journal section. Looking forward to learning from all of you and the discovering the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

It has a TVS 2300 with an 8 rib set up. I'm going to max out that blower first and see what I can get out of it. Then it will be either a TVS 2650 or Procharger.

CONGRATS on the ride, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to Camaro5/6. There is a BIG fridge on the back porch with anything you can think of in it...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. Make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom's, wives', husbands, girlfriends and boyfriends here don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!!

I lucked out, it's got a Fore Innovations triple pump fuel system, 80lb hr injectors and a flex fuel sensor. Once I get the motor out and go through it, I'll know if I came up or if this thing is going to be a money pit.

Seeing the impressive 1/8 mile time in your sig, once I get out on the track I'll probably be hitting you up for some advice.
