Stock bluetooth - can I play pandora (android) via BT? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

hey guys, something I have wondered since I got the car.. is there a way for me to play Pandora on my android based phone, and use bluetooth to stream the audio through the car? I am really hoping this is a possibility as I don't want to get an aftermarket deck.

I am sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find anything searching around..

I appreciate your input.

I play Pandora streaming from my iPhone so I don't see why you shouldn't be able to from your android based phone as long as "GMMusicConnect" can be discovered on your bluetooth phone. Have you tried the procedure in the Camaro manual to connect bluetooth?

Instructions start on page 6-19 of the owner's manual.

thanks, I'll take another look through it .. I fumbled through it and got the phone set up for hands free use, but didn't see anything about gmmusicconnect.

I just paired my droidx last week..nice no wires and I made a bracket so the phone hangs right above the radio from he vent..looks sweet.
Also try last.fm I like it better than Pandora..

yes i have an android based phone and am able to this...some of the steering wheel controls work with it as well...let me know if you need any help setting it up

so, that was easy- just got the Droid2 the other day and connected it to stream pandora- that was awesome! and yes, the forward button works for "next song" even after a year, this car amazes me!

I too stumbled across this little gem this morning while dialing down a menu. This is awesome! Pandora and my sdcard library with no wires!

My phone is connected to the car by BT but I can't get anything to play over the stereo other than phone calls. What am I doing wrong?

Set your radio to "Aux Input" then press the menu button. This will allow you to set up the "GMmusic connect" feature.

Basically you'll have two bluetooth pairings on your phone.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use both the phone and the music connect to stream Pandora and use the phone. Essentially I can get Pandora to work my disconnecting the phone. When I either receive a call or send a call it reconnect the phone part. I then have to disconnect the phone to go back to Pandora.

I got it to work. The phone stays connected and when I want to play Pandora I have to activate it via the menu on the radio but the phone stays connected.

Can't wait to get out of work and try it out, and the ff wheel on the steering wheel works too? Awesome, I love this car!
