The number of "OMG I'M GETTING A THROTTLE POSITION CODE!!!" threads has SKYROCKETED since the Vitesse Throttle Controller.

I don't think it's coincidence.

Just like it got old seeing every other thread about how great the vtc was now we keep seeing every other one where it messed up a car. Not coincidence at all.

Everyone that bought one loved how it worked, sometimes it takes time and numbers in use before issues start popping up.
It's really disappointing when that happens.

It's really nothing to worry about. We've sold close to 1000 units since we started.
We've only had about 8 or 9 issues. Some were resolved by recalibrating their unit, others were replaced with new ones.

I've had one on my 2013 v6 for about 10000 miles with no issues. No other performance mods though.

I just love the recommendation of aftermarket parts that people talk highly of and then when it fails its your fault. I'll be waiting for the "hey, you gotta pay to play" comment after this post. I would agree with that quote, but several of these people are hardly getting 1,000 miles out of some of these upgrades. It just seems ridiculous to me.

Not to salt any wounds, but this is one of the major differences between Chevrolet Performance Parts and the aftermarket. Chevrolet Performance Parts are designed, engineered, tested and backed by the same engineers that developed your Camaro. The aftermarket can't say any of that, and their testing cannot be nearly as vigorous.

So just got out of the dealer and apparently the CEL went away while they were trying to diagnose it, so hopefully that will be the end of it for now

I would just leave the VTC out and see how the car responds. I have to agree with shibbs when he says there's been a lot of threads on this lately.

Those intermittent CELs can be annoying. There for a while I was getting a CEL on the fuel pressure, but it would go away and they could not find a cause. Now it's been over a year and it has never returned.
