Drag racing at camaro fest

I took my stockish (z28 cai) 2015 1le for a few runs down the track. I ran 14.07-8 at 103 mph each time. Remarkably consistant but it just seems so slow. It was hot and hummid but Of course I was hoping for a little more. My shifting was quick and I managed to launch ok with little wheel spin. My 60 foot was total poop at 2.4
All in all I had a blast and an amazing weekend at Camaro fest. Time to start adding some hp. Lol car feels slow and heavy but damn do I love it.

Highly recommend you attend next year. Everyrhing you could want in one place. The venders do free installs on stuff you buy like wicker bills, side skirts...etc

Takes time. My first time at the strip was 14.0for 5 runs. Next trip was a 13.8 followed by a 13.4. Then I went again ran all 13.0s and hot lapped for my PB of 12.8.

Sitting in the staging lane kills the car and your 60ft is on par with my 1st time out. My best 60ft is a 2.1 on street tires.

Thank you for the great info man!! I really do appreciate it. I will head to the track again a few more times and see if I can't get that time down to a more respectable level. Lol

Oh and DA, Density Altitude really really affects the car. Higher it is, slower your car will go.

The da calculator I used said the da was north of 3000.
93° and 65% humidity. Track was at 547 feet.
