2014 Camaro ZL1 Recall/dealer fix

I was told that the rear license plate bolt holes are wrong (to far apart) and that GM is putting together a kit to fix this by my dealer when I picked up the car this weekend has anyone else heard this?

Have your dealer check this for reference on your '14's rear license plate install procedure.

My local dealer was having the same problem. There was one having a plate installed when I dropped by to talk about my ZL1. The 14 already had holes and an insert for a plate but didnt line up with our plates. Evidently GM is not getting the word out good enough on the proper procedure.

Hi DFA,

Although I haven't heard of this situation, if you would like me to follow-up with your dealership on the issue, I would be happy to do so! Did they give you a time frame as to when this kit will be available?

No, I will let them know that they need to use the other holes, seems they did not get the information in the above link.

Really? I specific article on how to install the rear license plate? I knew I wasn't a fan of the rear on the '14 for a reason, lol. Seriously though...

I usually check this link for factory directed fixes and alerts for dealer repair techs on my GM vehicles from time to time as it and TSB's are very helpful. This link also has reference to the rear gear noise proper fix procedure as well.
