Question Am I the only one that.....

will switchblade that keyfob endlessly if it is in my hand? It is not that I will go get it to play with it, but if it makes it into my hand... tick....click....tick....click....tick....click...

Walking to and from my car...
Sitting in a waiting room...

I am starting to get worried I will wear it out!

Am I alone on this?

Been doing it for almost a year now. It's almost habit forming.

In the same boat as you... just keep pressing the button and bringing it back... I'm developing a complex, I'm sure!

We're all a bunch of wear testers for the fob. I'm surprised mine hasn't worn out yet.

I do it without thinking about it. It's just a habit now. I hope these things are durable!

Just keep it lubricated with a FULL synthetic key fob oil and it will be fine. Consult with GM for the list of authorized lubricants!

Swapped out the spring in mine for a heavier one, snaps out much faster now and more stable when inserting into the ignition.

All the time. There is no way to hold it and not push the button (a million times).

You can't help not pushing the button. Let's hope on the next model year they go with the "push button start". Then, I'd probably just sit in the garage and start my car, turn it off - start my car, turn it off.

At least this method isn't costing me addtional fuel.
