If I wanted something without modern creature comforts I would buy an old car and just upgrade the motor.
Weight reduction is something they had to pull off imo to give the Z/28 in this 5thGen some credibility and it's own niche...I think it's awesome...
...If the cards show the same engine, weight reduction ideas, etc. in a 6thGen, (which will be drastically lighter on it's own)...then I'm in...
Really surprised they pulled off the Z/28 in this Gen5...I think it's a good sign of things to come...

Correct. Maybe 12-20?

I just noticed the Z28 has no chrome mustache, true to the weight savings nature of this beast.

That looks great! Much better than the one that was prematurely released yesterday...

Now that wasn't very nice.

To quote myself in yesterday's thread...

"My jealousy will reside with... LS7? Z28? ZL1 side rockers (on 1LE's)? Other performance upgrades?"

After knocking yesterday's pics and looks of SS, which I still stand by... Z/28 looks friggin nasty. I mean that in a complimentary way. I'm assuming it'll be priced north of $50k (plus gas guzzler tax) which I couldn't of pulled off without a lot of stress.

QUE JEALOUSY.

-The Z/28 is out weighing the fact that the looks are still not to everyone's liking, as to be expected, the Z/28 specs are fantastic and its what we've all been waiting for. GM did the name proud.
-But, how much more excited would everyone be if all of those Z/28 specs and moniker were applied to the current body style?
There would be people at the dealerships waiting to trade their cars in.

THis is an exciting day for the Z/28 faithful! I think this version looks great, way better than the SS shown yesterday. I will still be keeping my ZL1, but I would love to figure out if the Recaro seats will fit into my 2012 (and be able to keep the power options)!
