VIN Help!

Howdy folks. It's been about three years since I stopped posting on C5. Sold my 2013 SS in 8/18. I just found a '68 Camaro in good shape that I may make an offer on but want to search the VIN to find out what I can about it.

A few years ago, there were a couple of members who had the ability to do VIN searches without cost. Can anyone point me in the right direction to do so on this forum? Sorry if this is the wrong place to post... it's been a long time.

Thanks much. Hope to be back among the C5 family soon.

Do a google search for “Lost Muscle Cars”. Read something about that, awhile ago.

Thanks. That didn't seem to help me though. A few years ago, there was a guy (or two) here who could enter a VIN and give a report about the specs of the car. I can get that by paying for it on line, but this guy was doing it for free. Just looking for some info on the cheap. Thanks anyway.

By the way, I tried the Bumper VIN search tool advertised here. Couldn't even tell me the make of the car. Their records only go back to 1980. If you're looking for info on anything older than that, "Bumper" is a waste of $13.44. Ergggggggh!
