Learning the hard way about short front tires

Well I setup my car with Weld RT-s 17 rims. ABS/Traction control light on now. Found out by using the shorter height front runner tire makes the ABS system see faults. From what I'm learning no way to recalibrate for this. So now A christmas tree of warning lights on my dash, brake pedal buzzing/pulsates for the first several stops. I'm a bit pissed that after almost $4,000.00 for rims/ tires/ control arms, I wished the vendor would have stated this situation to me. Just figured I would share my situation anyone else know a way around this let me know. I use HP Tuners and have been told nothing they can do.

Replace the front tires to ones that have the same diameter as the rear and your problem will go away. Pretty much common knowledge about these cars.

I think if you pull the abs fuses you will still get all the lights because the computer will still see a problem because it uses the abs signal for stabilitrac too.

Pull the fuse and you should only have to deal with the lights.

What size tires are you running front and rear?

Yes, anything more than a 6% difference in tire diameter, front-to-rear, will cause issues. Most people try to stick within a 1/2", front-to-rear, just to be safe. Mickey Thompson has just released a Sportsman S/R (28x6.00R17) radial that works great with the 28" rear tires.

Thank for the input folks, you live and learn. I'm going to look into the M/Ts to solve this issue. I'll pull the fuse for now to quit the brake pulsation for now. ( 26" tall ) P185/55R17 M&H front runners & ( 28" tall ) P275/50/17 Rear tires is my current setup.
