Spray the WHOLE thing (except for the electric outlet). Just don't touch the orange wire with your hands.

The orange-looking wire visible in the pic looks like a thermocouple to me - so I'd say that's the IAT sensor. I doubt you could hurt it if you touch it. The flow sensor is inside the opening in the side.

I don't think it is exactly the same post. Though I can see how I could of asked my question there.

Either way good information to have. Its off to the garage for some MAF cleaning.

oil from the K&N style filters is what causes the gunk on the MAF in the picture. If you clean and oil your filter, then I would wait a week or so before I cleaned the MAF until the excess oil is done coming off the filter into the intake.
