Anybody regret their INFERNO ORANGE INTERIOR??
Hey all!
Im new to the forum, and to GM in general. Always been an import fan, but have been following the Camaro concept car since I was a design student in college. Now that I graduated (and have been working as a designer here in Detroit) and have scrapped together enough cash, I just put in my order for a new Camaro 2LT/RS at the dealership on Friday!!! I AM SO EXCITED!! So here is my question...... Has anybody gotten tired of their INFERNO ORANGE INTERIOR TRIM ??? I ordered mine Silver with the IO Interior Trim (closest match to the orig. Camaro Concept), but now am wondering if I will grow tired of the contrasting colors.... The thing is... I just cant picture myself driving to a business meeting with a nice suit... and a bright orange/red-ish interior. Perhaps the all black leather might look more professional? Im sure someone here has run into a similar dilemma. Any thoughts on this?? Also, if any of you guys out there have a SIM/IO it would be great if you could post doors-open pics, it would really help. Thanks Guys!

Yea i know.... it sounds like a dumb question.
Just seems like the Silver w/ IO is a rare combo..... If I saw one in person Im sure I'd be confident with my original decision. Unfortunately I have yet to see one .......

Well I have that combo and trust me, it is very tasteful. You can always change the plastic panels to the silver color if you find the color too strong.

Hylton...
That is the exact "Plan B" I was thinking of..... swapping out the IO Dash trim with the Silver somewhere down the line.... I'll have to photoshop it... I wonder what the dealer will charge for those panels..... $200-400s ??? Thanks for your feedback! Most likely I'll stick with my original order. Shouldn't doubt my gut instinct

Heck no. It's great! Folks make as many comments about the orange panels as they do the guage pack. It's a distinctive add imho

I was thinking of getting IOM with an IO interior, but I feel like the way GM did it was a little too much. I would've been happy with orange panels, orange stitching in the black leather seats, and orange lighting. The full orange on the front of the seats is over-doing it imo.
But get what you like. |

Hum well you should kinda like orange before you order an orange interior.
And it's the most elite factory interior for the car. So this makes no sense to me. |

When I first saw an Inferno Orange Interior, I fell in love. But it was on a IOM car, so it all worked together. I have yet to see a SIM/IO in person, so thats why I began to doubt my original order config. But after doing some image searches (and soul-searching) I've decided to stay with my SIM/IO !!
Its flashy and fly! Plus, as if the Camaro isnt unique enough... NO OTHER CAR has an interior like that!! Shame on me for doubting myself

Get more compliments on the interior as the exterior IOM. PS...Get the IOM engine covers!

SIM/IO looks GREAT... they had one at barrett jackson this year and the CGM stripes that were on the car just seemed to enhance the interior, as for not looking professional im sure people will think your car is just awesome and love it
id get that combo but im iom/io with cgm stripes

I don't care for the covers myself. Why hide the engine it's the best part?
I understand for a Caddy or a Malibu but this is a Camaro it's not like "eww look and engine .. cover it". Sorry I am too old school in my ways. |
