Members making 600rwhp+... what tire hooks the best on the street?

Looking to get new rear tires for my MMR 20x11's and would gladly take recommendations on any sticky tire for the street. I will put maybe 2k miles a year on them. I was thinking the Nitto 555r's, but I am open to suggestions.

Car currently is in the 480rwhp range, but I will be slapping a turbo on next winter and dont want to buy tires twice.

So... assume 600rwhp+... hoping to at least hook in 2nd gear... what tires do you folks recommend?

Thanks,
Jon

My Michelin 295/35/20's hook good in second at 551 whp. Guy i know with a 650whp Zl1 has 315/35/20's Michelin Pilot Super Sports and his hooks pretty good in first.

For 600+ I would at least go with 555r's, I hear the MT's are the way to go for best traction on the street but they won't last long. I'm in the same boat on trying to decide which tires to get for better traction. I can't see the Michelin's hooking in first at that power level but I'm not saying it can' happen either.

i too am in need of rear tires soon. The stock pzero's are not going to last long at my current rate (650+ ) so suggestions are welcome.

I'm running with my Nitto 555r drag radials. They are the 305/30/20. I have 607 to the rear wheels and they hook up great. I actually have a hard time losing grip from a roll. I have never ran 1/4 mile, so no hard launches but I am very happy with them. Adding E85 in a couple weeks, so I'm curious how they will hold up. Only time will tell
