Time to make her go faster

My 2011 Camaro SS only has 18,000 miles and has provided years of enjoyment but it was time to make her faster!!! Only thing left is picking the right supercharger..... https://youtu.be/NHjenE_yxOM https://youtu.be/dBH3EZz6DYg https://youtu.be/Ovo_Zd5JLxk

I am trying to decide between Whipple and Heartbeat! The car runs well !!! Gears really help to get this car moving! The car has been woke up for sure. One final step to add the supercharger and flex fuel setup for another 200 hp. I want to have between 600 and 650 hp to the wheel. This should be a safe amount of HP..

Awesome!! I’ve read great things about both of your Supercharger choices. I, too, would be torn between the two. Sorry no help. I’m looking to cam mine for my next round of mods. The GPI Max package looks very interesting for our l99. But your camaro has mine drooling....haha!

I’ve never had an auto with a big cam. Curious to know how you manage the cam lope at low speeds like parking lots. Does the stall help mange that?

The tuner makes a huge difference. If you have someone that’s knows how to tune you will be fine. If not stalling and bucking are the result of the vehicles tune!!!

Both systems you are interested are great setups!

The Whipple will be capable of more power being a 2.9L and has a very noticeable whine. The Heartbeat is very quiet and is designed to be that way. They are both about the same costs. What it comes down to for most people is the which one they like the look of better and the sound they make. Both will get you to your WHP goals.

If you would like pricing on either I would be happy to provide that for you!

LSA of the cam plays a big part in smoothness. I’m running a 408 iron block, 2.9 and big cam and it idles like factory. I use a cam designed for a blower which differs from a NA cam.

I have the factory converter as I drive the car daily. I must add with 3.45 gears, truetrac, and 1500HP axle shafts. I have enough in the engine to pull the car through, but if I were to change converter I would use a 2,800 stall conveter.

Got it. Just trying to understand your setup. What are your blower cam specs?
