LOL, I could see these responses about this car on that show from 4 years away.

The Camaro really isn't a very good performance car (stock), it's too fat (like most Americans! hah). I lost about 90% of my excitement for it as soon as I saw the official weights come out, and why I didn't even bother buying the V8. :/
That being said, they could have at least used the LS3/manual. As much as they like to race and shift, that surprises me. Though, it could have been a ploy to make the Camaro look even worse. It wouldn't surprise me, heh.
I agree with Jeremy, that AMG engine is kickass, but the car is ugly as all hell.

All GM needed to do was lose 500 lbs. from the Camaro, it'd be golden. :( (As if that would be an easy feat, heh). Maybe next gen.

Murderer? that's a new one on me, lol.

I take offense to Mr. Hammond's assertion of a "redneck" button on the AMG. Mr. Hammond, as a redneck myself, no self-respecting redneck would be caught dead in an AMG. WTF!

As a side note, the AMG saloon (as sedan's are called in old Europe) looks like every other 4 door car ever made. There is NO sex appeal with that car. Now the Camaro has got SEX appeal aplenty.

I believe we all knew that it was inevitable. Bias was expected, the ignorant comparison between 2 cars that arn't anywhere near the same price point. And since that's the main variable, always... the Real Muscle Car held it's own against that high (over) priced German sedan. Not so sure about that. My SL55 AMG outruns the C63 and between it and my SS is a drivers race.

LOL Hammond is going on about the sound that the AMG makes is "amazing". To me it sounds like the Rot Wieler dog from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation when its choking on the bone at the dinner table lol. OMG I just fell out of my chair laughing.

BTW if your looking for a good review. Look up top gears big rival Fifth Gear Online on You Tube ad they were in a LT model camaro and the Gal driving was raving about the 2010 Camaro!!

Not off the line it doesn't...... perhaps top end.

I watched this weekend the C63 stock running neck and neck with SL65 V12 0-60 times were 3.76 65 3.88 C63.

It what I expected out of Top Gear.. In fact it better then I was thinking it would be.

As far as the comments of It should have been a LS3... I think they were looking at auto to auto

And all the specs I have read on the LS3 vs L99 they are about the same so I don't get the comments like the LS3 would have done much better. I don't agree, the auto and the manual are only a 1/10 of second apart in the 1/4 mile so I don't think the LS3 would have made much diff. IMHO
