Looks great, I think for ease of lining everything up you could have used a earth magnet to hold the tow hook to the bar and then slide it to adjust it where you needed it. Plus then you could have drilled right through the bar without having to hold it up with one hand. But looks great.

The installation turned out great! This really is a must have for any 5th Gen as there isn't a good tow point should you have an issue.
The main reason we don't include a template is due to the fact that some customers have intercoolers or other obstructions that we can't always account for along with the fact that some customers mount them on the passenger side as well. We do have some basic instructions that we're wrapping up however to make it easier. Thanks again for the excellent write up and for your support! Have an excellent New Year and please feel free to call, email or PM us anytime with questions. Kind regards, Jordan Priestley 888.308.6007 |

Question:
Why are these mounted off to the side (typically driver's side)? I'm assuming it has to do with aligning with the frame rails, but does the eccentric loading of the hook cause any problems when getting towed (like out of a bar ditch on a snowy day)?

Even without being lowered it's very difficult to tow these cars without damaging the bumpers. It's possible, but it involves strategically placing the chains and the use of wood blocks (spacers).

Can you include a copy of said instructions with my tow hook? It isn't expected to ship out until tomorrow or Thursday (still at the powdercoater). Much appreciated!! BTW, huge to JDP on this. Tyler really hooked me up. Can't wait to get this installed on my car!
