F5 - The YSI is one of the top centrifugal superchargers from Vortech.
Jamie - Good luck with the build. Sounds like a solid set-up and look forward to seeing the numbers in the Spring.

Jamie glad to hear you are going with good advice and going to a 416 with a 4" crank and moving up to a YSI. I know you want to find the limits of your trans but just hope it doesn't explode and do more damage than good as its literally only a matter of time that it goes bad with that setup.

How difficult / possible is a 6L80 to 6L90 swap? Lots of V's in the 9's with them... Also, were turbos discussed, and if so, why the YSI over twins? |

Don't worry. This thread will pick up. Everyone has congratulated him so now his head and ego have pretty much exploded. Trash talking will begin shortly.

t-shirts with that should be made up for the next Camaro Fest. Just put a picture of his face smack in the middle. Then people will know who we're talking about.

The turbo discussion ended quickly. Kevin from AGP said that there would be major boost lag off the line not to mention you need to modify the trans a lot to make it fit and it will not fit a turbo 400.

The upgrades weren't all that bad. Plus at the time I didn't realize how ridiculous the price I was being charged was. It wasn't until I got prices from Don that I realized the I/We were getting bled. With the money sunk into this car I could prob buy a house in most states. First time doing anything like this so I didn't really know any better. I do now. I wanted to stay with the 376 bc I felt it was better suited for the 2300. No 2300, no 376.

U can fix boost lag with converter choice and proper turbo choice. Just like the buick...build a up a few pounds on the line, come off a trans brake and let it eat! 2 problems...their kit not clearing other trannies like u said and lack of a transbrake for a 6L80.
