Polished wheels vs. Midnight Wheels
Ordering my camaro 2ss this week finally! Just figuring out last minute options. I've decided on black exterior with black interior and the RS Package. Decided against the sunroof. One last thing I am deciding on is whether to stay with the midnight silver wheels that come with the RS package or upgrade to the polished wheels. Which one looks better with a black car? Any pictures of both wheels? Any pictures or opinions are greatly appreciated. Can't wait to get this beast home. Thanks

well I have polished wheels.....and the RS pkg. IF I had it to do over again, I would get the Midnight Silver and heres why, IF you like SHINNY WHEELS, and I do, I would save the money and have the wheels that come on the car CHROMED, a number of people here have done it AFTER paying for the polished wheels....the 20's chromes look GREAT. That is what I would suggest, and its what I am doing. IF it doesn't make any difference, get the Midnights as it will be somewhat hard to tell the difference with a black car.

midnight wheels hide the brake dust nicely, unless you wash the car everyday, brakes are very dusty.

IMO the midnight silver look dirty from a distance to begin with. I opted for the polished look. but I will admit chrome is by far superior. so as it was stated before on here you can save some $$$ and get the ms rims and chrome them later if you like, or simply get the polished ones and spend more time cleaning. but since your getting black on black I think the polished look or aftermarket chrome would do nicely.

I got what you ordered. This is with the polished rims. I added the upgrade a while after ordering the car, I'm glad I did. In my opinion, the polished goes well with the white stripes I have too. Hard to see in the pic though.

Not to thread jack, but thank you. I haven't had it out enough to get compliments. It's done nothing but rain since I got it. I've owned a black car for the past 20 years. I buff scratches out with the Porter Cable buffer. I use either and/or both Meguiar's and 3M products.

i got the polished wheels, but if i could go back, i woulda just stuck with the regular painted wheels and had them chromed, the polished wheels get dirty after just driving it to school and back, and if they ain't clean, they look horrible.
