I bought a plastic mounting plate at WalMart and zip tied it to the lower grill on the drivers side.
I don't really like the off center look myself, but I didn't want to spend the $$ on the hideaway bracket (it would be partially visible anyway) and I didn't want to drill holes. I was worried driving without a front plate, so now at least I can breath easier and still can do something else down the road if I want.

nukemgreg.....your original posting was you have to have it on the front of your car and you are asking opinions as to what looks good....simply put beauty is in the eyes of the beholder...look at all the various ways and even putting it on the passenger sunvisor and if a cop stops you flip down the visor....???? I hear so many posts about this item, back to the beauty thing !!

It's required here in Washington so sooner or later I'm going to have to put it on,but I think I'm going to paint the bracket body color(ABM)and see if it makes it a little less of an eye sore

I'm a very "by the book" type and I just didn't want the constant worry of being pulled over.

My dealer said the same thing. I ponied up for the Stow-n-Go holder but it's still in the box. I'll run no plate until caught, but keeping a box of donuts on hand for a bribe might not be a bad idea.

Here's what mine looks like installed! Took about 45 minutes total to install.
Sorry about the picture quality, iPhones are not the best for this kind of thing! |

I've been driving mine since I got it last May and have never had a problem with the lack of a front plate.

I'm thinking about either dealing with it and putting a plate on there, or I think I came up with a way to get rid of the holes without having to buy a whole new fascia like other people have done.... I guess I will have to wait for warmer weather to decide....

It definitely looks better without the bracket on the front (or any plate for that matter) but if mine had come with the bracket installed, I would have just left it.
