Slightly (and I mean ever so slightly) more understeer.

Can anyone tell me what they have paid, or are looking to pay to have their tires rotated/remounted? Kind of hard to get quotes from shops back home while deployed..

Pete is all about the 305's the wheels have to be spot on size and backspacing wise. He can set you up with some wheels...

Actually, I think it would slightly oversteer. Having a little more dough on the road at the back with wider 20x11 wheels increases rear traction and balances the car. Lack of it will make it more tail happy --> oversteer.

You can substantially increase your traction with better tires at 285 size, and you'd not have to deal with clearance issues. I remember one of the members running Trofeo R 295/35/20s, and it was very close (but I don't think he was lowered). Granted, Trofeo Rs will run wider than most other 295s, possibly getting close to 305 territory.

Quick question if anybody knows, but do our cars have to have TPMS? I just bought a set of replica 20's with pirelli scorpions for winter use but they didn't come with TPMS. I'm fine with it throwing an error code on the dash if that's all it's going to do to me. Is there any way to clear the error once the car is started? Thanks!

Yes, we have TPMS. I don't think you can get rid of the error message, but I don't think it does anything else, either (like changing the stability control thresholds like it does so on Corvettes) since our cars don't come with run-flat tires.

Winter wheel/tires for 1LE

Can anyone provide any advice either for or against putting 20x9 wheels on all 4 corners with the same sized tires (P245/45R20) on them for winter use on a 1LE?

The wheels/tires I have in mind are Factory Reproduction style 41 wheels, and Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tires.

I have been having a hard time deciding on what tire/wheel combo to go with on my 2014 1LE for winter use and would appreciate any feedback especially regarding using the setup mentioned above.

Thanks!

I'm in the same boat. TireRack has these available that I'm considering:

9" wide, 38mm offset for fronts and rears.

Zadmax, I just put on a set of (4) 20x9.5 Breytons w/ Michelins Alpins I picked up from another member.

The square setup is noticeably different in steering/handling but not in a negative way at all. The narrower tire in front makes steering feel a bit smoother. It feels like there's less oversteer when you really get on it through a turn as well... but this all just "feel" so far, and is certainly subjective. The moral of the story, you'll probably feel a difference, but it's not bad.

In my opinion, a winter set should be square, so you can rotate and get the most out of the tires. My only caution would be to be careful how narrow you go with the rear. Mine are 245 all around and even being a winter tire (with more grip in the cold) the rear feels looser. Remember, we have pretty aggressive gearing

I am looking for opinions on anyone that has run a drag radial on this car?

I am just finishing up a single turbo setup, I plan to be making 620-650HP, and 600+ ft-lbs. I am worried that a non-dr is going to be spinning through 3rd, but I'm worried that a DR will handle significantly worse than a F1 or PSS.
