To trade in my ss for a Zl1 or not to opinions
I have a 2011 camaro 2ss I am thinking of trading it in for a 2012 camaro zl1 used with 8k miles my 2011 camaro currently has 14k miles. My question is... is it worth the extra $150 a month in payments? Or should i just supercharge my ss and upgrade the mods. I am stuck here. What do you guys think. Or what would you guys do?

If your finances are in order and you can swing it. Its definately worth it. So long as it doesnt put you in any sort of pinch i would do it.

it all depends do you still want a warranty cause if you supercharge your SS there goes the warranty on the powertrain.

Zl1 is worth it all the way and when it comes to resale value a zl1 is going to fetch more then a sc ss

I'm attached to my camaro ss =( i realize my warranty will be voided. However i am still in college and i am making payments that are reasonable for a college student. I am only 23. However. The zl1's and ss's look the same. So i am kind of wanting to just change up my camaro ss and supercharge it and put a body kit on it. With a different hood. Not to sure though. I know there are other mods on the Zl1 other then the super charger. But right now i would have to buy a used Zl1 i can't afford a new one.

I would go for the ZL1 but only if planning on keeping it.

If you bought your first car under your name and all payment were paid on time then you should get a good interests rate. if thats the case then go for it because the ZL1 isn't just faster but it also has magnetic ride control which (i test drove when I got my manual ss) and its a bad ass car, everything is made right. the suspension is in itself the reason to go with the Zl1, plus you can always get ore power, magnetic ride control isn't something you can just add like that.

If you can afford the extra monthly expense, you should do it. But your insurance will likely be more as well, and you will be spending more in gas, especially if its a daily driver for you.
Speed and power from my experience are a addiction as well as mods, so you need to figure out what is going to make you happy. Just because its a ZL1, doesn't mean you will have the fastest car around, you never will really. Not saying that is important to you, but it is something to think about if it is. |

The ZL1 will cost you way more than $150 per month! lol
Tires, Ins, break pads.....ect... It's worth it ...but only if you can afford it!

ZL1 rocks but I supercharged my ss myself and I gotta tell ya, it's really rewarding. I've blown the doors off a few ZL1s. It's a blast when they think they're picking on a regular ss. Of course if the road gets curvy I'm done for but I'm not worried about that. Either way you're gonna have a cool car.
