LS3 RWHP Dyno Question

Hey guys, a couple of questions regarding LS3 RWHP Dyno numbers.

What would RWHP typically be for an SS LS3 Stock? Seems like I have seen 373-383 RWHP.

Also, what would RWHP typically be for the same SS LS3 with long tube headers, HF cats, X-pipe, cold air intake, and tune? This is where I have seen a lot of variation regarding numbers. With this setup (see mods below), the dyno report from my tuner showed max Torque 439, and Max HP 438. Does that seem accurate?

I realize different dyno's and temp makes a difference, thanks for the input.

Mine had weird numbers on a dynapack. 383 / 385 (give or take a couple) with CAI, 417/418 after LTH and tune.

Numbers aren't 100% accurate but pretty close. Can't find the darn print out anywhere...

I did ask for a tune for the track, with more average power than peak in mind, but that doesn't really explain the baseline run which was CAI + a remote tune, the follow up LTH was tuned on the road and dynapack by Aikman.

Mustang dynos read less than Dynojet. Bone stock on a Dynojet in the dead of winter, my LS3 was 355 hp. As the 2013 was the first year with electric power steering assist, I would imagine 2013 hp would be slightly higher than 2012 with a power steering pump.

To see a true gain you would have to run a baseline, then mod and run it again on the same exact dyno. Take the numbers with a grain of salt, they are a tool to measure gains. The number can't fluctuate a LOT between dynos. Mine ran 575 at jannetty, then a few months later i did a dyno day more to hang out with ppl at slowhawk, his mustang dyno showed 595hp and 5 less torque and everyone says mustang dynos read lower. Grain of salt.

Figures seem reasonable; I'd say that's about right.

I made 410 whp with drop in air filter and cat delete.

My friend made 410 whp with airaid cai, pacesetter 1 3/4 LT headers and x pipe

Mine is 1LE his is not and he put 2 cars lengths on me.

Both same tuner same dyno and he tuned in a better weather condition.

In September of 2009 after Kooks LT headers, hi flow cats, ported intake, Rotofab CI and dyno tune on a DynoJet, RW/HP was 414 and RW/TQ was 406. In 2010 after S/C on same dyno readings were RW/HP 546 and RW/TQ 521 with 11# boost.

Every vehicle will respond differently to a tune. Numbers will be what they will. Whats more important is that a competent tuner gets the most out of your tune.
