I also got the Planted brackets and they don't line up with the Cobra mounting points and I can't get the floor bolt to fit through one of the leg holes. Did you have any issues? Did you get the airbag light worked out?

It will fit the rear holes, but you have to put the Torx head floor bolt in at an angle and gently push it thru using a ratchet while turning. Kevin at RODZ did it. I couldn't figure it out either until I saw him thread it in. Have not put the resistors in yet as I have to get the Planted bracket slightly modified for extension rearward. Just pressed the acknowledge button on the signal arm to get rid of the "service airbag" light. The red airbag indicator stays lit until the resistor is installed. Keep me posted regarding your installation. Dick Gulstrand of Gulstrand Performance, and Mike Donatelli of RODZ trying to figure out how to use the Planted bracket with Cobra side mounts!

Thanks Trickskier for the complement. They are a fixed back Kevlar race seat. No power anything. Almost half the weight of the stock seats.

I really don't get power seats. Once you have it adjusted where you want it, it doesn't move.

Same here I am the only driver, and don't have to worry about readjusting the seat to my comfort level. I don't regularly visit places that require them but I now realize the added benefit of the fixed seat back and it's location. It will deny the over eager "parking attendant"/valet asking to park the car.

Nice!!! Are they as comfortable (padding) as Recaro's?

My wife and I split driving the ZL1 as I travel a lot during the week. So the power seats just make it a lot easier to re-adjust.

They look real good in there. Just make sure that your comfortable in the car when its all said and done. Metal can be cut and welded to death, so don't be shy and keep going till there where you want them. I've driven fabricators nuts in the past, and spent small fortunes getting things right. But when its right its all worth it.

Thanks Mike! Is that an offer in trade for me helping you coming up in October? It was so close to working initially but as you said welcome to the world of fabrication. Hopefully this first attempt will be spot on.

ZL... Use your stock seat slider and drill holes in the top portion that slides. Buy cheap switch and use it to move forward and back, no need for planted seat base. Bolt up side rails from cobra and ur done. If u can get manual base even better no need for wiring work.

No they aren't as comfortable. They can be adjusted with a change of the padding.
