I used to drive the proving grounds everyday for 4 and half years (Gen III powertrain, truck group). My favorite part of the grounds was the ride and handling loop!

So you actually worked there? That sounds like that would have been a lot o fun. Do they test when the track is snow covered?

We tested year round! Certain test loops were off limits or restricted in the snow like the High speed loop and Circle track, both can be closed or restricted during rain storms too it just depends on the testing required and security.

If you can get someone to let you in to play around I recommend taking the GM ADT class (Advanced driver training). All kinds of craziness on the black lake!!
