The plan is about 80,000 cars a year. at 15,000 a year the car would not be worth making.

If I'm not mistaken. The earliest a car manufacturer can designate a car with the next model year is either Febuary 1st or March 1st of the previous year. Therefore the earliest anyone can release a 2011 car or truck would be Febuary or March 2010.

Your dealer is an idiot. The 2010 Camaro must go into 2010. It is abundantly clear that your dealer has lost all ability to tell time. This condition is usually a symptom of dealeritis, a condition that affects dealers all over the world who think they know things when they do not. The only treatment is a bludgeoning of the head, whose side affects are pretty much the same sort of mental damage.

He might be from a dealership slated to close, wants to scare people into a sale maybe?
No, the dealers not gonna close. I asked him about mark-ups right away and he threw out the 15,000 thing. At the time the VINs were already over 12,000. Didn't make any sense to me, so I walked. Ordered from another dealer.

Geez, sounds like the dealer is forgetting which year this is. These are 2010's being produced and released early in 2009.

I would expect 2011's to start sometime around late next year.
