V-8 gives off a LOT of heat

I got the garage spot back when Christine came home

After I drive the car a while and park it in the garage, it's like a sauna in there, lot's of heat. The temp gauges all read normal operation. I guess the big motor gives off a ton of heat? Anyone else notice this?

Also, my garage smells like a mix of Adams car shampoo and Meguiar's Ultimate wax, which is pretty great.

I always open the hood on my truck and cars after I pull them into the garage so the under hood wiring and components don't sit and heat bake with no air flow over them. But yea, they do put out the heat. If it's not raining out I'll leave my garage door open for a while after putting the cars in.

Awesome idea, never thought of that. Thanks for the tip.

With the ZL1 you can see all the heat waves coming out of the heat extractor. Even with the extractor, it gets very hot under the hood.

Well according to the coolant temp gauge, my V8 manual runs about 6 degrees cooler than my V6 auto did...

In the warm weather months as soon as I pull into the garage I have a fan that I put in front of the car. Standing behind the car I can really feel the heat blowing out of the garage. Like mentioned above, in the colder weather months it's great, I pull into the garage and shut the garage door and the garage heats up and feels good.

Thats a damn good idea. When I pull my SS in the garage after being out somewhere the heat coming off the car is unbeleiveable and I have to turn on the air conditioning in the garage to cool it off but from now on Im still gonna turn on the air but also lift the hood
