305/35R20 on stock 20s
Any of you have pics of how they look? Did they hook fairly well? I have mine sitting here and a spare set of 20x9 rears. I always thought our rears were 9.5, not 9. Tried giving google a try and no luck really.....

Too big to mount right, for best fit don't go over 285/35/20. I'm sure some have done it, but doesn't mean you should.

Look for a set of used ZL1 rims, they will fit a 315 on the rear nicely and 295 on the fronts if you wish.

i did it cuz my wheel and tire guy said it was okay for my old lady driving skills.
moved the rears to the front and put Pirelli P Zeros 305/35/20 in the back. had that set up for about 15000 miles - no problems street driving or freeway driving in L.A. and traveling the Southwest.

Do you have a better view from the rear or side? Trying to check on the side bulge.

i just couldn't afford the $2500 for new wheels just then.
When i replace the tires in Jan - i will get 10.5 wheels in the rear and 10 in the front. But hey, not everyone can buy it all at one time and srsly, no problems in 15000 miles at all speeds.

I don't think it is unsafe, you won't get the best tire contact or tread wear perhaps... but unsafe? I don't think so. I don't know what someone thinks would happen that is calling it unsafe. It isn't gonna pop over the wheel bead, it isn't gonna balloon the tire much. I have a much larger sidewall bubble running 295s on crager ss wheels 12" tread pattern on a 10" wheel ran them forever.

I guess it depends on what kind of driving you are doing, if its straight line sure its fine. On track or canyons, the sidewall would be rolling over the rim bulging and that can eventually ruin your sidewalls. A 295 is fine on a 10" rim, this is a 305 on a 9" wheel.

going too big on tires with too small a wheel will only give you less tread on the ground not more
