Car cover recommendations
With the severe weather and hurricane season here in Florida and no covered parking with the Trans Am in the garage. I have been looking into getting a good outdoor car cover. Anyone with good advice on one ? I used to have a Wolf for my Trans Am back in the day , but it seems they are no longer in business. So now looking at a Seal Skin. Anyone have experiance with one?

I picked up the iCarCover Custom Car Cover for Chevy Camaro 2010-2024 Waterproof All-Weather Rain Snow UV Sun Protector Full Exterior Indoor Outdoor Car Cover on Amazon and have been happy with it. Keeps the car dry in Florida rain. only complaint is some powder residue from inside cover on the windshield.

I have CoverCraft for both the 1LE and Z/28. I bought the 1LE one used off this forum. It's their top of the line outdoor one that's like $600 or whatever. It's not bad, I feel like it soaks up some of the moisture and allows it to seep through. I bought the next step down for the Z and it repels water a lot better. I talked to a CoverCraft rep at one point and said the one I bought for the Z should last 3-5 years of consistent outdoor use of every weather. The one for 1LE should last 5-7 years of the same. I also bought the same one that I got the Z for my 55 pickup. They are perfect fit and I really love them all. To put in perspective, the Z has the wicker, and extended front spoiler, that the 1LE cover would not fit at all. It's already a tight fit. And the Z is a perfect fit as well. It's expensive, but I think worth it

Whatever cover you decide, make sure it protects the paint. My cover fit very tight, but after a few times of having it on and the wind battering the cover against the car, I noticed some scratching along the edges where the cover touched. The car was freshly washed whenever I used the cover too. I only use it for extended garage storage now.
Hope this helps.

Covercraft , and Cali covers were what I was eyeballing. Had a few more people recommend the Cali cover so far. But Covercraft is closer to my preice range lol.
THanks again guys, always appreciate the feedback! |

i have used both cover craft and cal car cover. Cal cover is the higher priced unit and i cant say ive seen that much difference between the two. The covercrafts have fit just as good as the californias. I have cover craft as my indoor cover now and the fit on my synergy is perfect
