I physically taped about 3 inches around the area, but cut up Plastic trashbags to block off the rest of the front fascia. I didn't tape off much if the undercarriage though and got some overspray on it and like other said, it wiped right off with a mf towel and detail spray.
Here is my one suggestion though. Accept that you are probably going to mess up the edges a bit. If it dries at all, it'll stick to the tape. So plan for that. What I did was put 3 coats on just minutes apart. Literally 6-8 minutes total and still the edges tore a bit, so I only removed the first strip of tape, leaving the rest still taped up. After 30 minutes of drying, I retaped the edges (like 1mm further back) then gave them a good thick coat and took off the tape within a minute while it was still wet and it came out almost perfect! So put down all the surrounding tape but make it so you can remove the one layer at the edge and reapply it if necessary without having to redo the entire thing.

Sorry Bee Sting :( I got quite a few compliments on it though!
We aren't far apart. I'm sure we'll wind up at another event together pretty soon.

Got mine at home depot for like $7 a can. Normal prep like any painted surface - make sure it's clean and dry. When you first spray it on, it looks and feels like any other spray paint. It's not until it starts to dry that it takes on it's rubberized coating properties.
Read through this thread for some good tips though. It dries quickly and it WILL stick to your tape quickly, so be prepared for that. I'd actually tape the real border first, then put a second layer on top of it and overlapping a few millimeters. That way, you can pull that up after your initial coats dry (which will tear the edges) then repaired that last few mm border and pull the real tape up immediately. That will give you a crisp clean edge.

Ok I'm about to go and get me some, so is there a particular brand I need to get or color? And then what kind of tape are you using? Painters tape or what? And everyone ha a different method, what's he best way to do it, anyone have any videos? And lastly are you painting the lower grill also or just the bumper?
