TORONTO POLICE CAMARO...BACK IN THE DAY!

In the early years of 2000, Toronto Police had two Camaros (like this one), which were specifically enforcement cars for our expressways. Back in the day, they could only enforce the expressways within the city limits of the former city of Toronto. That was before all the smaller cities around us amalgamated into one and we became the G.T.A. (Greater Toronto Area).
The Camaros didn't last past 2yrs, as the cars were driven very hard on such short distances.

If they did proper upkeep, should have lasted much longer than that.

I could be mistaken, and this is just what I have heard from my pops, but the CHP used to use SS Camaros on I-5 here in California to catch all the guys who like to push their cars far above the 70MPH speed limit.

Good find. I hope they use the 2010 camaro as the cops will be busy talking about the car so much they wont have time to get us for speeding and no front license plate ;o)

I remember getting caught in the early morning on the DVP in my 94 TA and I slowed down put my 4 ways on and went off on the first off ramp getting to a safe location.

The officer gets out of her car(whale body imp) and said you should have ran I could never catch you in this thing.

I said I know but I can't out run the Motorola and she just laughed took my info and came back with a 10 over ticket.

She said thanks to me for being a great guy which was nice because she was a hottie

She also liked my Ram Air Clone
