What's your take on the NT05's? Not holding at your power level?

They grab better than the GY Supercars ever did on my 1LE but especially near the end. I haven't gone to a road course yet. I do get the impression that the sidewalls are a little soft in comparison to the Supercars.

I know I will induce a little under steer compared to the semi square set up but you know there is a ton of value in being able to go through full throttle through 4 gears and not even see a hint of Traction Control activation.

My goal is to get some 10.5" wheels all around and run the 295's on all 4 corners.
How much softer would you say the sidewalls are then the gy's? Do they make the car feels less responsive handling wise? Thanks for your input.

I was trying to quantify that to myself recently. I'm still feeling these tires out. I had the car at the body shop for a few days so I still have yet to get even 500 miles on them. I'm still trying to dial in my pressure.

The GY's were most comfortable a 30 psi cold they would warm up to about 34-36 when hot and felt stiff as hell.

Right now the Pilots are at 32 and get up to 36-38 when hot. They feel similar to the GY's at that pressure.

I'm planning on dropping down to 30 and see how they act. I imagine they will be a bit more compliant.

It's all trial and error. The real test will be at the track. I'm debating if I should do one day before my suspension mods or not.

It was recommended to me to run higher pressures than the GY. I run 34 - 35 psi cold on the street. I haven't had a chance to run these on the track so can't comment on those pressures.

Goodyears lose significantly grip on the track if they run higher than 37 psi hit. Depending on the track I start with 28 or 30 cold.

BFG RIVALS and MICHELIN PSS

My brother has BFG Rivals on his 2013 Mustang GT and the stiff side walls give him great response when cornering, feels like it on rails compared to the stock Pirelli tires... They are also way to stiff for street driving when in the city if you want a comfortable ride unless the roads are totally flat and smooth... I bet they would be great for the track though, which is where he plans on using them...

I have just bought Michelin PSS 305/30-20's for the back of my 2011 Camaro SS and I am waiting on 275/35-20's for the front before I put them on all the car... Will let you know what I think once they are on!

I ran them a little higher and they were less comfortable. The handling is great (to me at least) at 30psi they heat up to about 35 psi. FL gets hot...

I might call Micheline and see what they say.
