Texas tail light tint laws

Just recently got my tail lights tinted, but now hearing about recent law changes in TX about tinting the lights. Anyone have issues lately?

I would never tint the tail lights. I just think it's dumb. Plus what if some old folks drive behind you and all of a sudden you brake and the old folks don't brake because They can't see your brake lights? pretty dangerous. But hey it's your car

It depends on the tint you get. The tint on my car is fairly dark but with the breaks engaged and at night you cannot see the different. Again, depends on the tint.

Yeah I called it eBay tint. Haha. I see a lot of cars with that cheap stuff and I can't barely see the lights on their vehicles during the day and at night the light is weak. I agree those guys need to have those removed.

So, I'm in Missouri, but I thought I'd chime in with some recent related events summarized here:

http://www.claimsjournal.com/news/mi.../05/222396.htm

Moral of the story is that you might end up defending yourself from an ambulance chaser, even if the lights pass inspection. It's your ride and they do look sweet, but messing with the safety equipment brings some risks.
